Purpose of WELCA: To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.

Mission statement:
As a community of women
created in the image of God,
called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and
empowered by the Holy Spirit.
We commit ourselves to
grow in faith,
affirm our gifts,
support one another in our callings,
engage in ministry and action, and
promote healing and wholeness in
the church, the society, and the world.
WELCA's ministries at Christ Lutheran include providing meals at Good News at Noon, donating bags of school supplies for needy students at Oakwood Elementary, sending health kits and school kits to Lutheran World Relief, leading Thankoffering Sunday worship, and raising Thankoffering monetary donations to send to Southeastern Synod. The WELCA members provide a Lenten supper for church members and provide flowers for the church funerals. This active group of ladies ministers to the church membership, our community, and the world. All the ladies of Christ Lutheran Church are members of WELCA and welcome to attend the monthly meetings on the 2nd Monday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. A brunch, business meeting, devotional, and Bible study are presented.
